The Woman on the Painted Horse

A union spy: her crime is sedition and her punishment, if caught, is death.

The daughter of one of the wealthiest men in Montgomery, Alexandra Monroe lived a life not by her own accord, but a life she willingly accepted. Her mission was to marry Thomas Ludlow, the Secretary of War to President Davis, so she can gather military intelligence to pass onto the North.

What she hadn’t planned on was meeting someone else–someone forbidden.

Creek Indian, William Graysden was no stranger to life in the South for a man of Native American race. The son of a supply man, he takes little interest in town matters, living his life without thought about the war or what could happen to him and his family. At least, he didn’t, until he came face to face with Alexandra.

Willing to help her pass along her information, they soon find themselves both caught up in the high-stakes game, caught between the two sides of a country torn apart by war. Can they keep each other safe? Or will greed and blackmail unravel the threads of their growing love?

This novel is currently on Amazon under another publisher and has a different story arch and plot line. In June of 2020, the rights to this novel revert back to Long Valley Press and the book will be taken off the market. After revised with a new plot line, edited, and republished with several new chapters and a new, and better, ending, I will publish the second edition.
