Season Seven
Episode One Hundred Thirty-Nine: “Introducing Lorelai Planetarium”
Original Airdate: November 21, 2006
Christopher knows exactly how Rory will feel when he and Lorelai tell her they’re married—happy! They tell her. How does she feel? Not happy. And when April falls ill, Luke calls the one person he can depend on: Lorelai.
I’ve never really thought of Rory’s reaction to finding out Lorelai and Christopher got married. I guess I understand why she’s mad, but there’s also that part that is a bit confused. Oh well, in the end it doesn’t matter. I mean whatever hang up she had will either prove right or wrong. I don’t think it helped her write that article though, the one that totally threw Logan under the bus. And, I think, although Logan’s comment was jerky, wasn’t far off from the truth. Rory has had tons of opportunities that most young women don’t have because of her grandparents money and connections. And it’s true, she hasn’t exactly been worrying about bills since she moved in with Logan.
Moving on . . .
I knew Luke had to find out somehow about Lorelai and Christopher getting married, but talk about a gut check moment when he finally does. Ugh.
Funny Quotes:
RORY: hum you can’t stop Bobbi.
LOGAN: Ace.
RORY: What, no, I like Bobbi. I do. I don’t like the fact that she’s not a big, swarthy dude. But I recognize that my issues with Bobbi have nothing to do with her. She’s lovely, she’s you colleague It doesn’t matter that her legs come up to my nose.
LOGAN: “A big, swarthy dude”?
RORY: With a cheesy goatee.
LOGAN: Well, maybe she’ll agree to the goatee.
RORY: Oh, god. I’m mean? I’m mean and judgmental, and I didn’t even mean to be. I was just trying to sell an article. Well no wonder he’s upset.
OLIVIA: Come on! He knows you. It wasn’t intentional.
RORY: That’s worse! I didn’t even mean to be mean, and I was mean, mean and judgmental and insensitive. I really do hate everyone today, including myself. Great. The circle’s complete.
