Gilmore Girls Project: Season Three, They Shoot Gilmore, Don’t they?

Season Three

Episode Fifty: “The Shoot Gilmores, Don’t They?”

Original Airdate: November 12, 2002

Lorelai and Rory partner for a 24-hour dance marathon. Couples couples, everywhere: dancing, arguing, holding each other up, shooting each other down . . . and changing partners.

Best thing about this episode, Taylor drunk and him and Miss Patty fighting over the megaphone. Worst thing about this episode, Dean and Rory breaking up. Ugh. And the jealousy battle between her and Jess throughout the whole dance just annoys me. I’ve never liked Jess and Rory together in the earlier seasons. I know he redeems himself, especially in the revival episodes, but I didn’t like him in season three and them together is just annoying. I hate the break up too. Dean yelling at Rory in front of everyone and then her and Lorelai lose the dance competition. Ugh.

And I’m sorry, but 4 in 4 (four kids in 4 years) is CRAZY! Jackson is crazy. Period.

I think Lorelai should have just kept dancing without a heel on her shoe and it took her way longer than 10 minutes for her to repair it. Glue doesn’t work that fast. But you know . . . story.

I do also enjoy Dave and Lane finally having a moment, and him being ever-so-great about the eggless egg salad sandwiches and telling Mrs. Kim his parents are in bible study—even if it’s 5am! Who has bible study at 5am?

Funny Quotes:

Lorelai: My shoe broke! I need you to fix it!
Luke: Do I look like a cobbler to you?
Lorelai: If I say yes, will you fix my shoe?

Rory: There’s this big event happening in my town.
Paris: Pig race?
Rory: Dance marathon.
Paris: I was close.

Sookie: But, you’re my best friend.
Lorelai: Yes, I am, and I can only remain your best friend as long as Jackson doesn’t kill me.
Sookie: Lorelai!
Lorelai: Sookie, he’s a produce man. They’ll never find the body, but the squash’ll be especially chatty that year.
