Season Two
Episode Thirty-Six: “Lost and Found”
Original Airdate: February 26, 2002
Lorelai wants to give Jess the benefit of the doubt, but doubts some flooding back when Rory’s special bracelet, the one Dean gave her, goes missing. Luke apartment hunts with surprising results.
Taylor is systematically buying up the town! And we know he has his sights set on the flower shop next door to Luke’s. As long as he can stay “arm swinging length away from Luke that is.
One scene I love watching is when Lorelia and Luke are looking through the apartments and the leasing agent thinks they are married. Lorelai plays along, mocking Luke by calling him “snuffy”.
I put it in the post because it’s just the best. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Now, back to my thoughts. I’m still not sure how I feel about the storyline with Jess. I know I’ve said it before. I just never liked him much. At least not until the later episodes when he actually helps Rory by giving her the straight up harsh advice she needs regarding Logan and Yale. He also grew on me on the revival episodes.
I got to say though, too, while Lorelai was so worried about Jess and his behavior, she totally missed Dean’s. If my daughter’s boyfriend had Dean’s temper and treated my daughter the way Dean sometimes did. I would beat his butt. Dean was far from the perfect boyfriend that Lorelai gave him props for. I understand that he was jealous and didn’t deserve the treatment Rory gave him at times, but sometimes the way he lashed out and how Rory was so scared for him to find out she lost the bracelet is a huge red flag. Anyway, that’s just my two-cents.

Funny Quotes:
Luke: I walked around in a blind rage, I was crazy. I bought one of those Belgian waffles with the ice cream dipped in chocolate.
Lorelai: You ate that?
Luke: No, I didn’t eat it!
Lorelai: Oh, of course.
Luke: I’m upset not suicidal!
Rory: People are different once you get to know them. If you’ll remember, you weren’t too fond of Luke when you first met him.
Lorelai: That’s not true.
Rory: You called him Duke for two years just to make him mad.
Lorelai: And let me tell you, it worked.
Rory: But then you guys talked and eventually, time went by, and now you love him.
