Gilmore Girls Project: Season One, P.S. I lo…

Season One

Episode Twenty: “P.S. I lo…”

Original Airdate: May 3, 2001

Love is hard. Arguing is easy. Partial truths and misunderstandings over each other’s romantic life leads to a major Gilmore Girl blowup . . . and prompts Rory to seek an emotional safe-haven at Grandma Emily’s.

There are so many funny scenes in this episode. From Lorelai calling after Kirk telling him she loves him to her chasing Luke around with pants and him calling her a mental patient . . . LOL, there is just so much to love about it. I’m also glad that not only are Lorelai and Max back together but Dean and Rory are back together! Yay! Not that I totally love Dean, but I was growing tired of Rory’s emotional rollercoaster since the break up.

Okay, so for the record, I’m actually Team Logan when it comes to the series and Team Jess during the revival. I liked Dean for a first boyfriend, but he became way too controlling and possessive. I actually would freak if someone like that dated my daughter.

But back to the episode . . .

I added another maid for Emily’s List of Maids, Rosa! I kind of wish that Lorelai would have apologized to Dean after yelling at him, only to learn about what happened. But instead she just walks off. Kind of rude. But I do like how in the end, they all make up . . . or at least Lorelai, Rory, and Lane do. We shall see about Dean in the next episode.

So what did you think of this episode?

Funny Quotes:

Lorelai: (trying to persuade Luke to try on a jacket) C’mon, just the jacket. Just once be too sexy for your shirt and do a little dance on the catwalk.
(Luke walks into the back of the diner while Lorelai chases him with the suit)
Luke: Get away from me you mental patient!

Lorelai: So, last time I saw you, you were headed home. You want to fill in the blanks?
Rory: I don’t know. I just snapped and I got sick of everything. I wanted to go anywhere.
Lorelai: So you picked hell?

Lorelai: (about Dean) I warned him. I warned him when I first met him, if he hurt her…Ah. Maybe I could key his car.
Luke: Better yet. Key Taylor’s car and tell him Dean did it.
