While I’ve always loved the idea of Rice Krispy Treats, I’ve never been big on marshmallows.
So when my mom came across this recipe from a mother of another student in my 2nd grade class (yes, I’ve had this recipe that long), you can bet that it became an instant hit in my world.
These aren’t like your marshmallow fluff treats, these are chocolaty and decadent and will surely be a hit at any bake sale or party you take them too. Be forewarned, though, they are highly addictive.
- 1 Cup of Sugar
- 1 Cup of Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup of Honey
- 6 Cups of Rice Krispies
For the topping:
- 1/2 Package of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Package of Butterscotch Chips
In a large pan bring sugar and honey to boil. Remove from heat and add in the peanut butter. Mix until dissolved and then add in the Rice Krispies. Once mixed pour into well buttered pan and let it set.
In another large pan, melt chips together and pour over the mixture.
Let cool, slice, and serve!
